On October 8, 2014, Family Services of Western Pennsylvania was honored by the Rehabilitation and Community Providers Association (RCPA) with their 2014 “Exemplary Service to RCPA” Award.

Richard S. Edley, President and CEO of the RCPA said, “As an agency we could think of very few that have shown the organized and consistent commitment to RCPA’s efforts: in Washington, in Harrisburg, and across (RCPA) committees and at the Board level.” The RCPA represents providers of health and human services committed to effective, efficient, and high quality care.

Upon accepting the award, Stephen Christian-Michaels, President and CEO of Family Services of Western Pennsylvania, said that, “We are honored to receive this award...We have very consciously invested in the RCPA – inviting staff to attend meetings, offering to take leadership roles, and participating in ad hoc task forces to create system change in D&A, Intellectual Disabilities, Mental Health, Integrated Care and Workmen’s Compensation Trust. This investment has also enriched Family Services reputation, visibility and innovativeness.”

The RCPA represents providers of health and human services committed to effective, efficient and high quality care.
