Representative Payee Program


Individuals who receive benefits from the Social Security Administration and who are unable to manage benefits without assistance or are at risk of financial exploitation from others.  The Representative Payee Program serves people who live in Allegheny County and are actively participating in mental health services.

Family Services of Western Pennsylvania is named as an individual’s Representative Payee and a staff member works with the individual to create a budget to ensure that basic needs are met. Our staff member also works collaboratively with each individual to help them achieve financial stability and works with other service providers to ensure continuity of care.
